DYS Analytics' Collaboration CONTROL! Supports IBM Lotus Sametime 7.5

Accelerates Real-time Communications; Ensures IM Compliance, Helps IT Guarantee Service Levels, Promotes Optimal Platform Usage

WALTHAM, MA September 19, 2006 - DYS Analytics, Inc., whose innovative products and services manage today's top messaging platforms, announced that its Collaboration CONTROL! real-time collaboration management software now supports IBM Lotus Sametime 7.5, the latest version of IBM's enterprise instant messaging (IM) and Web conferencing platform. By swiftly supporting IBM's latest release, DYS Analytics helps IT staffs ensure Lotus Sametime is broadly and appropriately used as the foundation for the real-time enterprise.

Collaboration CONTROL! monitors, analyzes and reports on IM and Web conference use to ensure broad adoption and optimal server load balancing, archives and alerts on IM conversations to ensure appropriate use and regulation compliance. In addition, Collaboration CONTROL! performs Lotus Sametime health probing to ensure continual availability.

"As instant messaging continues to play a central role in promoting business collaboration, it is important that enterprises have the ability to carefully monitor their deployments to ensure optimal efficiency, said Adam Gartenberg, Lotus Sametime offering manager, IBM. "We are very pleased that DYS Analytics has extended their support to Lotus Sametime 7.5 to provide customers with advanced reporting and analysis of IM and Web Conferencing use."

With Collaboration CONTROL! and Lotus Sametime 7.5, IT staff get the insight they need to:

  • Alert and archive IM chat conversations - thereby ensuring appropriate use and compliance with organizational policy and industry regulations.
  • Ensure Compliance - By alerting, archiving and reporting on all IM conversations, IT has the tools to meet regulatory requirements as well as ensure IM conversations stay on track.
  • Guarantee SLA compliance - real-time probing and alerting of each Lotus Sametime server provides assurance that each is delivering IM and Web Conferencing functionality to the desktop within the Service Level Agreement (SLA) terms. This is essential as Lotus Sametime becomes as business critical as email and the web.
  • Spur broad adoption and promote optimal collaboration use - comprehensive and automated data collection, reporting and analysis that spans multiple servers, provides IT insight to who is using (and who is NOT using) Sametime.
  • Optimize server load balancing - by assessing who is using which server and to what degree, IT can ideally place Sametime servers where they are needed, when they are needed. Additional servers can be deployed as there is need.
  • Objectively prove Sametime ROI - by demonstrating broad use, IT can easily justify their Sametime budget and growth requirments.

Assure Sametime Availability Enterprise-Wide
"Our customers are quickly embracing Lotus Sametime 7.5, and we are seeing it put into production faster than any prior version," said Andrew Wolff, VP, Products of DYS Analytics. "Collaboration CONTROL! reports, analyzes, monitors and alerts on Lotus Sametime use and performance to ensure it is appropriately used and delivers optimum performance. With Collaboration CONTROL!, IT stays ahead of the real-time collaboration wave by optimally managing their Lotus Sametime network."
